Cancellation & Refund policy
Updated February 29, 2024
We hope you would be considering canceling only in the event of an emergency—and we know those happen. If you are reading this because you are in a situation, we sincerely hope everything works out.
As a general rule, there are no refunds. If you must cancel, you may switch your reservation from an In-Person ticket to a Replays ticket until August 26, 2024. There will be a processing fee of $50, and the difference between what you paid and the replay ticket price at the time of your cancellation will be credited to the original payment method. You may also transfer your registration to a friend for a $50 processing fee until August 25, 2024. There are no refunds for no-shows. We encourage all attendees to purchase trip insurance and refundable airline tickets, or to use a credit card that includes this protection. If you decide to cancel your attendance, then we advise you to claim this against your trip insurance.
Ticket exchange or transfer requests must be made in writing via email to nightscaper@nationalparksatnight.com.
National Parks at Night has contracted with the published speakers, but it may be necessary to modify the schedule to meet the needs of the venue, speakers or the event organizer. Changes to the schedule or the roster of presenters do not qualify for a refund either before or after the event.
If an event or the conference is canceled for reasons within the organizer’s control, such as insufficient enrollment, then Nightscaper agrees to promptly refund all fees paid. If the conference is canceled due to forces beyond the organizer’s control, there will be no refunds. We will make every effort to reschedule the event and will honor all tickets from the original event. If the conference is postponed or rescheduled, Nightscaper will inform all event attendees as soon as possible. Nightscaper is not responsible for your personal or travel expenses.
If conditions make it impossible to hold the event in-person as planned, Nightscaper reserves the right to still hold the conference as a virtual event or to reschedule the live event to a later time—the latter being our strong preference. In the case of a virtual event, all sessions will be recorded and will be available for viewing for the 12 months following the event. If the conference must be moved to a virtual format, Nightscaper will let all participants know as soon as possible and tickets for the live event will be valid for the virtual event. If the conference is changed to a virtual event, Nightscaper is not responsible for your personal or travel expenses.
