Aaron King to host weekly pre-conference livestreams with Nightscaper speakers
Excited for the Nightscaper Photo Conference? So excited that you can hardly wait to start seeing and engaging with the speakers? You’re in luck!
Starting today, March 1, we’ll be running a weekly pre-conference livestream with speakers talking about night photography, from the angle of their presentation topic.
Hosted by the venerable Aaron King of Photog Adventures, each week’s episode will go live on Facebook and YouTube at 9 p.m. ET.
The series will kick off in just a few hours, as Aaron hosts Nightscaper founder Royce Bair. Royce’s topic “Simply Stunning.”
“Ever notice how complicated nightscape photography has become in the last few years?” Royce says. “We photographers love our gadgets, and many seem to turn night photography into an engineering project, with exposure and equipment data that is either designed to impress or scare away the beginning competition. My presentation is geared to help bring back the mind-blowing awe you experienced the first time you saw the Milky Way on your camera’s LCD playback screen. My program will give you tips, tricks and guidelines that will bring you stunning results and bring back simple joys of the night sky.”
The schedule of guest presenters over the next few weeks:
March 1: Royce Bair
March 8: Alyn Wallace
March 15: Jess Santos and Mike Shaw
March 22: Erik Kuna
April 12: Kah-Wai Lin
For tonight’s episode with Royce, tune in to Facebook or YouTube at 9 p.m. ET. (Future episodes will also be streamed on the homepage of this website.)
We’ll be sending out reminders every week, via this blog, as well as on our Facebook and Twitter accounts (see below). Stay tuned, have fun, and fall in love with the night again!
